I've had people send me well wishing notes for months so I thought I'd show you, Hale (pronouced Hal-EE) is as good as new. Her leg is growing properly and she's out of the woods now. This was her first trip to the dog park, and her first time off leash. She's almost 6.5 months old now.

1. "I'm free!! I'm FREE!!"

2. "WHOA! Hold up there back legs...HOLD UP!!" (pre-heels over head tumble...she's still an awkward puppy but she can RUN!) :)

3.Just a little girl...running...cuz she can *sniff*

4. you can see her front leg in this shot (where the injury to the elbow happened)...looks great!

they are all great pictures and you have an extremely nice looking pup. #6 is my favorite for the composition.

That's awesome. Glad to see the pup is out and enjoying life.

We rescued a Black Lab that had been hit by a car, shattering it's hip. Whoever owned him never took him to a vet and let him heal with it the way it was. When we got him he had a pronounced limp and was in obvious pain from where the bones were grinding against each other.

Well, expensive surgery and a couple of months of therapy, he's now running and in no pain. Hard to tell that he ever had any troubles.

Dogs are resilient creatures.

Wonderful photos Lisa and she looks like she healed up nicely. I know things were touch and go there for a while and how frightening the whole thing was so I'm glad that there is a happy ending. :)

Glad your dog's doing so well. That last shot should be on your wall.

Makes me want to take my camera out to the dog park and take action shots :)

My old weenie dog still chases the ball in the house but he is slowing down at age 14.

You know, I started taking the camera out for fun, but the odd thing is that I started photographing other people's dogs and have slowly started getting orders for the photos. I take photos of the dogs and if I get a good one, I'll tell their owners next time I see them. Usually they want to see and ask for my card. I've made some pretty good sales from them. I never intended on being a dog photog  but catching them in action and happy is great.

Because of all the things that have happened with Kona & Hale and the connections we've made because of them, they (K & H) have a page on FB.

http://www.facebook.com …es/Kona-Hale/134810561922 (external link)

The other owners check in there to see if their dog appears on the newest slideshow. Most of them don't even belong to FB but they have the link and can check. It's pretty useful & everyone seems to enjoy it.
