Wonderful work. Mind sharing what you used and how you shot? I'm just getting into macro, and I'm up for tips.

Thanks
Jeff

Canon 50D, EF100mm f2.8, 580EXII speedlight attached to the camera. Camera set to manual - Tv - 1/250, Av - f10, ISO - 400. The flash was in manual mode, but I can't remember the settings as they were changing with the passing cloud cover.

good shot with excellent detail - I would prefer to keep the hover rather than the spider lol

Great shot - looks like some interracial action :)

Hey, I was just thinking the other day we should hook up for a macro outing one weekend morning soon. Maybe with StephenM and some other locals? GregC? Mind you, I say "was thinking" because soon after I thought it, my MT-24EX decided to play silly buggers and now it's not working for some reason. Had to drop back to the on-camera 580EXII.

Thanks for the comments Werner, Brian and Linda.

Sure thing Troy - let me know when the flash is functioning again and we will get it organised (unless you want to slum it like the rest of us with our on camera 580's :D )

:) Ok, then I can say - oh well, I didn't have my twin-light with me.
