We took our son to a local pumpkin patch for his 1 year photos. It was a bright Texas day and his hair is so blond that it gets blown out easily. I did some PP on #2 and #3 using layers to brighten his face since his body was in the shadows to protect against squinting and over exposing his hair. Do they look alright or is there any adjustments that I might try?

Gee, thanks! :P

He is adorable! Wow, his hair is very light. My son's face is pale, so I know what a challenge that can be.
#1 could maybe use some contrast and levels adjustment, but you'd have to mask back in the light areas or they'll be lost. overall that pic looks a little flat to me.
#2 I really love! Something about his face isn't quite right, to me, maybe a little too yellow? This is my favorite of the bunch!
#3 Cute. I am distracted by the blown part beside and behind his head.
#4 Other than the top of his head being blown, I think this needs the same sort of contrast boost as #1. This is a sweet photo, too.

i like the lighting personally - i think it fits his appearance - he seems to be a very sweet kid so the nice pale lighting works.

First off, your son is very, very cute! Here's my opinion: color is a must in H'ween pictures. Skip the black and white. Try close ups, with a pumpkin in the background or off to the side to suggest Halloween. Or do a close up with him holding a very small pumpkin. Since he is so very blond you are going to have to let that be the tail that wags the dog, and work around it. Anyway, that's just my opinion and congrats on the great kid-what a cutie!

Thanks for the feedback and compliments on my son. :)
I am always looking to improve my compositions and post processing.
I did get a couple of him holding small pumpkins but I don't think they turned out as well. At 1 year old I was lucky to get him sitting still at all. :P
