a used 20d or a new T1i.

I want a back up camera with a pop up flash. I have a 5d but sometimes it's a big pain to get out the big camera and the big flash for snapshots ect.

I can get a used 20d body for $325. Help me decide which to get.

20D isn't THAT much smaller than a 5D. If size is your concern for portability, pick up the T1i or the XSi. Only problem is you have to deal with SDHC cards in addition to CF cards. Not a real biggie, though

I'd go with the 20D. The controls are almost identical to the 5D so going between cameras should be a no-brainer.

I think I'd go with the T1i... 20D is just too old to buy now (no offense guys who own it, but it's about 4 generations behind on all the tech now...that's like a 6 year old camera -_-)

We played with a g 10 in the store and brought a sd card to take home. It has a lot of noise. I had the original rebel and was always impressed how clear of a snap shot that little pop flash could produce and such good recycle and shutter speed. We sold our rebel last christmas but now I wish i hadn't.

lol then i guess u already know enought to make that decision, since you own a rebel before and also own a 5D.

5D and the 20D difference isn't as much compare to a 5D and a rebel

5D and 20D are essentially the same size.

If you are attracted by the price of the 20D, but want smaller camera, then look and a used XS, XTi or XT. Should be in the same ballpark as a used 20D.

20D. its just a better constructed camera than any rebel series. same sensor as 30D

i have the opposite size problem, I like my cam to feel nice and solid.

its a little behind in technology but does it limit your capabilities? 5D classic is old technology but the pictures it produces are still stunning.
