I've been based in NZ for the past 3 years and will shortly return to the UK.

May I have recommendations for a good insurance company for professional photo equipment and liability insurance please.

I went to the file to look for the company I used to use and ... ooopps looks like I've shredded it - DOH.

Thanks for your help.

Cheres Dave

I'm a BPAA/SWPP member (or something like that), one company advertises a lot in the magazine and answers member questions. http://www.aaduki.com/ (external link) . I've never used them though, but worth a look.

I'm with Morgan Richardson, telephone 0800 731 2940.

Policy covers Liability, Indemnity, Employers, Buildings, Equipment, Stock etc etc etc for about £760. Not the cheapest, but the cover offered was the best

We use Aaduki (same link as Tim posted) they seem to be one of the better ones in the UK and they give discounts to BPAA/SWPP members.

When your shopping around be careful on what is and isn't covered because the policies vary a lot. When you dig into them there's things missing like cover for your gear if its in the boot of your car etc which for most of us is crucial.

I'll stick my oar in for Aaduki as well...and I'd agree with Jon. Check the policy! It's only because I mentioned a motorsport event I was covering that they checked up on their trackside cover. Turns out it wasnt covered but a quick call to the underwriters and they tacked it onto the policy with explicit wording to cover it.

1st class service i've had.

Yet another thumbs up for Aaduki - we wanted unattended equipment cover in the car for longer hours than their standard, and were offered 24 hour cover for a very nominal increase.
