Speaking of precision focus screens.....I think having one makes a difference personally.

Congrats Wim!

Thanks, Jochen! I'm really happy with the preliminary results. Yet the metal hood is something that scares me, as metal bends more easily than plastic. And also the throw between 3 meters and infinity is somewhat short. For the rest: :D

Thanks for the advice!

If {} is shocked and if () is nettled, it was like this: {()}. It looks stunning at 100% too.

Congrats Wim!
Did you bought this lens for closing down the gap between your 24L and 50L?

Thanks, Jelle! To answer your question: to some extent. Also, I think the 50 is a great lens, but not so much for landscaping. The 35 is perfect for that (given that I already have the 24LII).

I am looking for that gap between the 24 and 50 and this lens might just do the job. I've been eyeing this for quite sometime and have held it on number of occasions. It has 3D popping-ness which is quite superb.

I just have to wait a few more months :)

I just got it over the weekend. Tried it out around LA. Waaay better than my T2i kit 18-55mm.

Got this lens a few weeks ago. Love it. And MF isn't as hard as I thought it would be.
