Well mine is on its way, along with a 5D2 at some point. I screwed up my payment method for the 5D2 so it'll probably take a couple weeks to get here. I guess I can only blame myself for screwing it up!:evil::mad:

I definitely have a LOT of learning ahead of me. Can't wait! :)

I'm 99% sure I need this lens :)
Any picture style preference when shooting with this lens? Standard, neutral, faithful?
Also, in terms of EV, does it have any over/under tendency or pretty much neutral/0?

Do everything in RAW, fix everything in post.
Shoot at neutral all zero and you will see the power of this magical lens.

What I love about this lens is that it has that Zeiss micro-contrast, 3d, smooth bokeh etc. but it's also at what I think is the best focal length for a walk around prime.

I know the idea of a "walk around" prime is slightly daft but if you force yourself to just shoot at 35mm you'll get a really interesting set of photos - it's wide enough for scene shots but also works well enough for full-body portraits and even headshots as long as you don't go in too close.

I have this lens and the Zeiss 100mm - Think I'll get an ultra wide Zeiss at some point and that will be enough for me.

On the 5d Mark ii you've got an amazing set up.

5d Mark II + whatever lenses I have on the day..

This lens is ridiculous. I'm actually finding my web sized shots a little underwhelming. My photos from this lens just seem to shine best at 100% size. The color rendition is exactly like what I see with my eyes. No real need to boost contrast or saturation at all. It is pretty crazy.

I'll be posting some stuff soon enough. :)

Alright, here's a shot I took tonight at a gaming convention. Manually focusing this lens (through VF w/confirm) proved to be just as accurate as autofocus with my 24-70. From the few examples I've looked through so far, the results with the 2/35 are far superior in colors, contrast, and sharpness. The way it renders the whole image is just beautiful.

I cannot imagine what this lens is going to look like on my 5D2 that's coming Wednesday.

Here we are playing a brand new game called Totemo. You have to stack colored blocks to score points. That's a very simple explanation anyways.

Hello - shot this w/ my Zeiss on 1D3 a while back. just got to editing it.. great lens!! sometimes I question if it was good move on this lens vs 35L.. but Zeiss still the winner! until 1 day I find myself needing AF.

One of my favourite lenses, love the micro contrast and extra colour pop it gives.
