My family and I took a drive through the Texas Hill Country this past weekend to check out some of the locations I used to frequent when I was a kid growing up there. While they're not spectacular shots, they do have a certain significance to me and the trip brought back some wonderful memories. Hope you enjoy them.

This was taken on the property I used to live on. Hard to believe my dad and I built this shed over 20 years ago.

This was my childhood friend John's house when we were kids. It's really a spectacular house with a ton of history. It's a shame that it's now abandoned and fallen into a state of disrepair.

This is the Guadalupe River north of San Antonio. My friends and I used to ride our bikes to this crossing to swim in the river.

This was just a cool windmill you could see from John's old property.

And finally, here's one of my wife and son who shared this trip with me. It was neat for them to be able to see the locations from my old childhood tales.

Howdy Chazz! It's nice that you got to visit the places that you grew up in. Those are lovely shots! The house still looks great from the outside. I hope someone will recondition it eventually. You have a beautiful wife and a handsome son.
Thanks for sharing.

My parents moved to Frederiksburg recently. Those natural limestone homes and buildings are truly unique to the area.

I really like the river shot...it brings in a lot of color. I think the photography I've seen of the area focuses on rivers (given how arid the region is, that's interesting), bluebonnets and indian paints.
