The concept is great, but the background is overwhelming the subject.

What's in your (external link) sippy cup?
My stuff:
A low-light hi-def rapid shooter, a sniper, a couple old school 35s.

Some L, a nifty f/1.4, a kit IS, some slow EFs and two crappy Qs.

You might try softening it up a bit with the blurr tool or using color. Not too much because it's a great effect, but just enough to soften it.

Either way, great shot.

Cool perspective.

My only suggestion would have been to stop down the aperture another 1 to 1 1/2 stops to darken up the background a bit and bring the subject back up with the flash. It would keep the effect and give a bit more separation between the subject and the background.

Again, very creative shot. Nice work.

I like the perspective...the background is busy but it works.

I agree that the background took over the subject - but it is still an awesome shot. Love it.

Totally agree.
By under exposing the bg and using right amount of flash its just incredible how it makes the rider jump out of the pic and that is where you want viewers to focus their eyes, not on busy and bright bg.
Nice job anyways
