I haven't been on the up and up with my product research. Is this product here yet? Is it on its way or is it just RF interference of my imagination?

no. cheap triggers are designed only to trigger. if you look at the internal components you will not see anything technical at all. Reverse engineering the flex tt5 requires a lot more technical know-how in addition to software engineering. That won't probably happen for at least 2 years.
