sorry to "thread-jack", But i had this problem of buying a used 20D and not getting this software, so I downloaded from CDIFOTO's link in post #9.

BUT.... when I open DPP it will not allow me to see/edit/or anything the RAW files, only the JPG's, am i doing something wrong? The RAW's are listed, but only show a big grey X....

plus i can't seem to dowload any updates from canon's website either ???

You have to download and install the updates from the Canon website. If you're having trouble downloading it it's most likely with your computer/internet connection, try from somewhere else. Also Canon has .com .co.uk .com.au etc so you can try another countries site.

Also not to thread-jack, but if I have a newer solutions disk (i.e., from an XSi), will I be able to edit RAW files made by a 5D with the DPP included on it?

Thanks!

Assuming the XSi came out after the 5D, yes. I don't keep track of the plethora of X series cameras, there's so many of them around now.

You might do well to update to the newest version every time one is released (usually about a month after every new camera release), if only for the expanded lens correction support. Current, 3.7, also has a useful NR preview window that is new.

What version of DPP do you have installed? And why can't you download the update from Canon?

Megapixels and high ISO are a digital photographers heroin. Once you have a little, you just want more and more. It doesn't stop until your bank account is run dry.
