I am considering doing some consulting for a client who wants to pay me by barter. I am considering this because I will be able to get computer equipment that I hope to be able to sell at attractive prices. (I recently upgraded my computers, so unless I can sell whatever I get from the client, there is no reason for me to accept his offer.)
I could get monitors, printers, scanners, Mac systems, Dell systems, and perhaps other gear. I should be able, to some degree, to try to meet buyer's specs on systems. I would sell the gear at a good discount in order to be certain that it sells. (The client would have to provide enough gear for me to recoup my fees.)
My question is, would POTN members be interested in such an offer. or should I just go to eBay? If this is something that folks here would be interested in, would it be appropriate for the "For Sale" fourm in the Marketplace?
