I was down at the local biker café enjoying a nice cup of frothy coffee and a pasty when a guy in a microlite decided to fly in for a cuppa as well, there were 2 copters there already. Getting more like an airport than a biker café these days.

Thanks Frank, I missed a lot of good shots trying to figure out why the camera wasn't taking any pictures. I'd take a shot but nothing was appearing on the lcd, checked all the settings, all seemed OK. It wasn't 'till I got home that I realised I'd left it set to shooting JPG plus RAW from a shoot earlier in the day and the camera simply hadn't caught up with it's self. I don't usually shoot RAW as it's been my experience that you can't pull that much more back from a RAW shot than you can from a JPG, a bad shot is a bad shot. I didn't want to take any chances with the earlier shots though as it was a one on one with our local member of Parliament.

The microlite seemed to have a large engine for what it was pushing, when he took off he was airborne with-in 30 foot and the acceleration when he opened it up was phenomenal.

Nice shots. Here in the states, there are just scads of "biker cafes" to get a "cup of frothy coffee and a pasty". I think that's a favorite hangout of the angels.;):)

Scads? I've no idea what that means mate. There's alsorts of people come in to my local Biker Cafe from Satan's Slaves to solo lady riders wearing their latest girly pink leathers, I've been going there for the last 30 years and I've never seen any trouble, we all just get along.

scads= a plethora = a lot= a google. :) He was being silly in the usa we have no biker cafe that sell a cuppa and pastry. Biker bar = good place to avoid

OK Frank, here's a quick recovery job from the RAW file. Not a great deal of difference, most people wouldn't be able to tell. I can send you the original RAW file if you want to have a go.

OK I'll give you that the halo is very slightly more noticeable on the straight JPG but it's still there on the RAW conversion, OK with a little more time I could have taken it out but I still say that for everyday use the cons of shooting RAW all the time outway the pros. Every one to his own I guess:rolleyes:
