My skills at photoshop are woefully inadaquate. I really need to take a course in photoshop.

The picture itself is blown out. What would you do with this picture? Please make any edits you think are necessary.

First off, what do you want to accomplish with the image? I would definitely crank up the contrast in whatever software you are using and see what happens.

Use contrast, shadows highlights, levels and some dodge and burning.
Sky will remain blown out. Best to re-shoot if possible.

Hi. I have to say, I think this is a lost cause. You could have taken two pics, one exposed for the bg and one for the flower head, and combined them. Or may be used a reflector or even flash. Photoshop does wonderful things, but some things just can't be fixed. Check the histogram in camera when shooting so you can see what's going on. Best,
