Went to a festival and could not take a "pro" camera, so grabbed the G9. In daylight or very good light, results are resepctable. But in low light or stage light, not good at all..
Tried everything I could think of from ISO 80-800 (where it REALLY gets noisy), Av, Tv, P, etc, etc. Is there some setting I may have missed that helps with night shots or is the G9 just not going to be worth trying there? And is the G11 better in this regard? And just as an aside to the primary question, is the G11 better in terms of shutter lag?
If this posts, it is the best of the stage shots and as you can see, without a tripod unusable except for illustration of the problem.
