I don't know how Phamster did it, but what I do when it's really dark is expose the scene in Bulb, have my subject walk into the frame towards the end of my exposure, then hit it with a strobe. You can also use the rear curtain flash setting on your camera if using on camera flash. Either that, or have her stand really still during the exposure and trip the strobes towards the end. http://500px.com/MitchT

Apparently it's not awfully cold where you are yet. It would be under 50 degrees at that time here. it is about 40 degrees tonight.. too cold to have more than a 30 min session with out a warm car ! mabryproductions wrote in post #8952321 how did you get the light trails I am confused? doubledragon wrote in post #8952748 +1 I'm really interested in how you got this shot SubliM3 wrote in post #8963112 Let me take a stab. LOL.. tagger123 wrote in post #8952790 Did you use a gel? The lighting color on your subject is very well integrated. Nice work! i don't gel my lights on this shoot, tori is very tan, so i have that advantage even before the shoot was done.. tonyr0584 wrote in post #8953441 Where do I sign-up for the Pham Fan Club. #1 is, I believe one of the best shots you have posted. Lighting and posing are spot-on..... the only tweek would be to have her extend her finger tips on her left hand a little. Awesome job on all of them. just trying to keep up with you tony ! thanks for the positive comments.. i should look at the hands much more carefully.. GenuineRolla wrote in post #8959242 You are really good with poses man...that's something I gotta work on. it just takes time, i am starting to get the posing.. but just do more work with guys and girls.. i know you are on a shoot about every other day, so practice with each band members for individuals shots.. Grimlock wrote in post #8958030 Dude, these are hot! Great use of your surroundings and daylight (or lack there of), as usual. some times it is where the light isn't, Right? tysrsx1 wrote in post #8963798 Great stuff as always Pham! What were you doing for lighting on these softbox, umbrella, speedlight? PLM64 with 2 speed lights @ 1/2 power each, normally i would use the ab1600 but the train track place is a long walk and i didn't want to carry the battery 15 lbs is lots to lug around.. even with help..
