So I'm shooting some senior photos tonight... they're my first ever legitimate ones, so I need some advice.

The model is very photogenic, but she dresses in male clothing.
I need some help.

Feminine poses or masculine?
Will my 50mm f/1.4 be good for this shoot?
And should I stick with one speedlight + shoot thru umbrella or should I get in a second speedlight????

Thank you very much!

the lens is your choice too - it's a great lens but just like any tool it has to be used properly
poses - ask your subject what she wants to do
and have fun - don't be afraid to experiment and DON'T RUSH.

lighting - I would do 2 speedlights - 180 degree lsafe lighting. One as main, 45 degrees above and camera left, and one for rim - 70 degrees behind the model. Main light through shoot through umbrela - rim light, bounce umbrella or bare. make sure that the shaded part of your models face is the cosest to the camera. Adjust your main light accordingly. Google - "short" lighting". best of luck and next time have some more time to prepapre ;)
