I think the actual capture of the father/daughter is great but the people take away from your image. most aren't even looking at the dance and are engaged with others at their table. same goes with, what i assume, is the bride and groom.

i think these are fantastic. but it is funny how at some weddings it is almost impossible for some to see the dances because EVERYBODY is up and watching and then at some no one seems to even care. personally, i think these are great because they are in there own little world.

Thanks! At this one nobody really gave a hoot about the first dances but everyone gathered around to watch a 10-ish year old girl breakdance. She was damned good.

I wasn't really concerned with the people in the image, actually. The father's face was what I noticed first. Maybe the food was really good and no one wanted to stop eating. :) It can happen. :)

Some are looking and often they'll talk about who's dancing. The father and bride really POP! For some reason they almost look photoshop in there.

Did I say they were garbage? I made a comment about the disinterested people in the background.

I noticed some were taking photos and chimping with each other quite a bit too. They pop? Thanks! I don't really see it though.

No kidding. I wanted a dead-center photo but off-center dance. That's pretty much what I got. I have non-crowned versions too but they're from other angles. #2 - thanks! :)

The last two are good. Just a little noise, and the presence of all that brown can't be easy.

Thanks Suzy. I actually really like all that brown. I think it looks classy and cozy. It also made a nice contrast to their bright, colorful daylight ceremony in the garden. :)

I like more the last two shoot and if in the first of these last shoot you add some blur in postwork for the background i think could even improve.
