Well i have been shooting photojournalism style for almost a year and that has been my main priority. About 2 months ago i picked up some OCF equipment and tried to give it a go. I took a few shots just messing around with some friends and found it harder than i though!

Fast-forward to today, a couple months after i picked up my OCF setup and i decided to leave the photojournalism world for a few hours and try my take at shooting a posed person. Some are more 'fashion' type well the others are more 'fall fun' that i feel turned out kinda like Senior Portraits...haha

Well, here is Suzanna! She was amazing to work with and is a friend of mine at the University i attend.

Please critique too! Im 19 and have much to learn and would love to hear what you all have to say!

Thanks for looking!

2: i don't like for expression
3: i think have potential but i think should be better if she was less lower
4: i don't like because seem me too much a "family shoot" and i think is a pity when you have a similar friend do this type of shoot

Great start. You're willing to take criticism and you're younger then I am which means you have more time to learn. (LOL!!) Here's my $.02 worth.

1. Don't like the body positioning, and it's underexposed.
2. I like the best of the 4.
3. Is the color off intentional? (saturation & contrast)
4. Not a bad picture, I would have cropped a little more from the top.

Canon 60D, gripped, 40D gripped, 430 EX II, 50mm f/1.8, EF-S 18-55mm IS, 28-75mm f/2.8, EF 28-135mm IS USM, EF 55-250mm IS, EF 75-300mm III, 135-400mm Sigma

i think it's a good start, chris! i like #4 a lot. good lines, good crop.

#3 is good... i like the feel you're going for, but i think train tracks are too "senior portrait".

Thanks! As for the railroads, Suzanna wanted to do something with them and that was the first thing i said "This is what you use in senior portraits"...haha

I knew the first pictures with the leather outfits were more 'fashion-y', but Suzanna wanted some 'cute fall photos' which is why i they resemble senior portraits...haha

Although she is a senior in college....

Thanks again everyone!
