Well - thanks for asking me to set the theme - but as it seems topical by default at the moment let's look at 'Roots' perhaps. It should ensure we all get out into the fresh air to get some exercise - shouldn't it?
Could I tactfully ask what excuse most of you have for monitoring this forum 24/7 - do you not have to go out and earn a living? My excuse is that I am retired - well almost.

I have moved office at work which means my back is to the door so POTN is now a no no at work

hmmm i did that and it was fine, no major noticable speed up though....

have you tried just one option at a time to see which one breaks your computer?

Nah, I can suffer through the 45 seconds of startup if it saves buggering about! ;)

Congrats Mark

Just got a salesheet though, looks like I had a shot on Page 8 of The Independent on the 9th August, all I know is it was a shot of a QANTAS plane.

I'm thinking of dropping hints to mine. :)

My missus and I make some major cakes for the kids parties, last year was R2D2, but she's never made me a camera one!

Hi Mike. Does your Win7 really startup in 45 secs? My vista takes an annoying 3 mins Plus - and that's after I've run a bit of reg-clean software on it - which, incidentally buggered up my ability to process RAWs.
I do wish Adobe would rush out the RAW converter for the 7D so we can do it properly - I really can't be bothered with the Canon converter software.
