Jon, my spider holster was waiting for me at work. I took my camera in especially just so i could have a play with it :o

Its fantastic! Even with the 100-400 on it is is comfortable and does not bump your leg as you walk which i thought it might. The only thing will be to get used to navigating round obstacles with the camera at my hip - im sure i will still bash it a few times though .

You should wear it at the front :D

Having just looked at the SpiderHolster thing I've got severe wantings. Cost is a bit much though, wonder if I could get someone to turn me something on a lathe that I could use as an alternate.

I have a bit of a cheeky question here:

Does anyone have a camera body that i could borrow on Sunday the 6th December?

I have managed to wangle a press pass to a Motocross Enduro event and i would like to be able to have the flexibility of having two lens set-ups quickly to hand. One for wide and one for telephoto.

Since these bikes will be hustling past quite quickly something with a faster shutter speed than the 5DII would be preferable (which is almost everything), but as i'm a beggar, i'm not going to be a chooser!

If I'm not doing anything that weekend (I don't think so), you can borrow my 1D Mk II N if you like.

Rob, well done on the pass. Told ya, just ask ! ;-)a

If I'm not at Arsenal v Chelsea you can borrow the 1DIII and 400 if your feeling strong. You'll have to collect and return it though as I've got family visiting. and don't really fancy dissapearing all day delivering gear.

I should know tomorrow about Arsenal.

Some of the comments are a little unfair "The mods have been informed" being the one that confused me the most!

I am a little concerned that people who were not there are getting worked up by the others and could end up doing something stupid like contacting the Media. That would be horrible.....

In my stress whirlwind over TP, i didnt see your post Rich :o

I just followed your advice so now i am shooting for Laguna Motorcycles Newsletter :D

If you dont get passes to the game i would certainly take you up of the offer, but i wouldn't need the 400mm. I think it may be overkill for wooded tracks where i expect i should be able to get quite close (a bit like a Rally). I would also be terrified of dirt or stones kicked up by the bikes getting anywhere near the front element.

You are also quite a bit closer to me than Pete so it would make picking up and returning the camera allot easier.

Thank you to both of you for your generous offers!
