Ironically they have reposted photographers rights at work on the job intranet which is a good thing.......however it goes on the assumption the average met bobby can read

Hi Adrian - Is it possible for you to post this photographers rights epistle on this forum - so that we know the Hymn book they are singing from before we cause a breach of the peace.

Well done on your competition win - but your popularity at the photo club will be inversely proportional to the number of prizes you win.

Try reducing the static probe voltage to 50kV instead of 100kV to gain approval. CE or a Kite mark or something.

Did anyone just see Andy Trotter (Chief Police Officer) on BBC News just now. He was discussing recent photographer stops in London. He seemed quite reasonable and stated they (meaning the numbskulls who are daft enough to stop you) do not need to take your personal details and you need not give them. He didn't mention if it was in order for us to tell them to get a life - or something similar.

Ah my bad, I done some research into tasers (yes I am board) :p

Found this:
Using a 9V battery 18Watts = 50,000V

so maybe me giving this thing 100 jiggawatts was a bit over the top......
....

More bordem assuming jigga=giga then 100GW = 100,000,000,000 watts

thats only 277,777,777,777,778 Volts (assuming same current....) thats not gonna hurt is it :p

thanks neal's other half :D it was a tastey pear though:p

According to the Beeb he is on the Today prog Radio 4 in a little while
0847
Police are being accused of misusing powers granted under anti-terror legislation. Amateur and professional photographers have complained at being stopped for taking pictures of tourist destinations, well-known landmarks and a fish and chip shop. Jerome Taylor, journalist with the Independent who was stopped by police for photos of the Houses of Parliament, and Chief Constable Andy Trotter of British Transport Police and chairman of the Association of Chief Police Officers media advisory group, debate whether police are too ready to use their anti-terror powers.
