morning folks,

I trust everyone is hunky dory?

so as I jinx proceedings by saying wow a clear day, not too bright and minimal clouds - is anyone out to shoot anything today? (and cue the thunderclouds)

I am torn between a London photowalk (anyone been? good/bad/indifferent?) or a trip to a National Trust property haven't really abused the membership card enough this season...

anyways I hope you all have a good day whatever you're up to...

Lee :D

oh and a photo... forgot I took this one so a surprise find in the "archive"

Yep! I like that one - good choice of framing also. Nice to hear that no Herons were harmed in the making.

im off to bluewater with the family. ive taken the g9 as there are storm troopers at a display.
could it be consieved as a terorism act if i take a photo of my boy with them?
ive taken the G9 for convenience, however for intelligence gathering it much higher resolution than my 1D!
hopefully i wont get stopped by the imperial army!
have a good day.

You little chancer, you!

Chris, not worked nights before, but have had silly early start jobs .. Sleeping in the day will be fun with Harry & a new born down stairs! Lol ..

It takes some doing without those distractions so I wish you the very best of luck! :D

I have been considering night shift issues. With a baby it's dead easy, in a few years when she's mobile and no baby gates I can see her wanting to wake mummy or daddy up as they sleep off a night.

I don't get why people are like that, a night shift is no different to a late or early, as long as I treat it like a normal working day it's all good. I.e. up an hour or so before leaving home and then sit up a bit in the morning watching what was taped from telly before bed, there are people who do it wrong and try to have a normal daytime routine in the afternoon then work the shift and are ready for bed at it's end.

That's fine, but it's the going back to normal daytime on the weekends that kills me.

Cat nap it the first day until lunch time, ~3-4 hours sleep, then do the afternoon and go to bed at a normal time like midnight and I'm straight into the regular routine for a day shift.

Agreed on both parts here, doing a night shift is no different, sill normal working hours right? I've always though if i had the chance to i would work nights.

My current job has two shift one is from 9am until 5.30pm and the other is 12.30pm until 9pm, now the thing is the alternate them each day so monday we'll work 9-5.30 tues 12.30 - 9pm wed 0am-5.30 etc, for about 3 years i've been trying to get them to alternate the shifts each week rather than each day. If we go from a late **** one day into a ealy shift the next day we don't get home until 10-10.30pm and then have to be up at 6am the next morn to get ready for work.

Working time directive states that you need to have 11 hours minimum from the end of one shift to the start of the next.
