I was thinking of getting there for about 8am. Any earlier would be a waste as the light would be very poor and the last time we were there the deer were very inactive until around 9am anyway.
Let me know if you fancy it.

Not sure I'll be able to make it there quite that early, but shouldn't be too long after if I can make it.
I'll let you know ASAP.

No sense and unfortunately not enough money.

I did that in a field at Mallory Park a few months ago after a few pints of Strongbow.

But that's another story....

To be fair, im not that bothered about getting there super early. Depends on the weather forecast a bit i guess, but otherwise im flexible.

I'm with you, I didn't like Chrome that much and I don't see what I can do with Wave.
I feel kind of old and un-hip.

I will persevere with it but at the moment I can't see that I will stick with it as I can't see that I will gain much from it and I definitely find POTN more user friendly.

I know a little while back people were discussing whether there should be two threads, one for chatter and one for technical stuff and we decided then to leave it as it is, I for one think it is best left as it is. For the vast majority everything is in one place. For meets we can always start another thread so those going do not miss any updates. Especially as some of us dip in and out and don't have time to read it all. Having said that a lot of the WHF stuff still ends up here, I just make sure all the important stuff is also in the WHF thread as well. Keeping up with potn can be challenging, at the moment I am on facebook once every two weeks and imagine wave will be similar.

Pete thanks again for all your help, I have reset IE to the default settings and it is now working again

I thik the only way you are going to beat the distortions is by going for a prime

Check the reviews here for example images taken with the lenses
http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Canon-Lenses/ (external link)

Dont mind getting a prime the 17-40L is always at 17 on an explore

Victor, the sigma 12-24 is a great lens on the 5d, not too sure about the distortion tho? I think Rob is on the right track with the prime idea ..

Or just grab a 30D or something and go with a 10-20?

Victor, I'm sure that AdamLC hired the 14mm f/2.8 a while back and used it on a 5D classic. If I remember rightly he said he was really impressed at how little distortion there was, so it might be worthwhile talking to him.
If you can afford the lens of course. ;)
