No idea. POTN is my camera club.

I used to go to one a few years back but was a bit disillusioned by it being a bit of an old man's club. Every knew each other and outsiders were treated a bit like outsiders.

The competitions are strange beasts. You can enter what you feel is a stunning photo and it'll be met with somewhat arbitrary ambivalence.

Exactly what I was thinking. You can't beat POTN, a club 24/7 :)

@ KSkitt

When I was studying art one of my tutors told me that before you draw one good drawing you have to draw 10,000 rubbish ones - now the Bruce Lee sounding spiritual nonsense aside, there's a lot to be said for practising making perfect, find your own style and technique - the guys on here really know their stuff and seem very happy to offer genuine C&C on any posted images...

you certainly seem to have the enthusiasm and that counts for a lot!

Lee :D

I bet it's fun going through airport security now...

Oh yes.

I even set off the alarms going into the club last night and got a very thorough search for concealed knives etc. They wouldnt accept that i had metal bits inside me until they got the handheld metal detector out and waved it over my arm.

At one point, i though that they were going to get the rubber gloves out and do a cavity search!

I totally agree with you there. I said to Neal that he could be as honest as he could, because the only way i will learn is by knowing the truth. Yeah i love photography

Ouch! I cant even begin to imagine the pain

I broke my lower spine and pelvis in 5 places plus various internal injuries when the horse I was riding reared up and fell back onto me. It didn't for about an hour and then it hurt like buggery, then I didn't feel a thing for the next 5 days and they took me off the morphine but it's amazing what you can put up with when something happens.

Ouch again. I remember i had an abcess on my right side last year. The actual abcess didnt hurt that badly, but i needed it drained, and then had it packed. I woke up feeling ok, and then they had to change the dressing. Now that bloody hurt, wasnt given any pain releif. I managed to scream the ward down, and my then bf could here me at the other end of the ward - he knew never to argue with me after that. I still have a lovely scar there which honestly looks like ive either been stabbed or shot :)

I have to say getting shot hurt the most luckily my body armour stopped it but it knocked the wind out of me and I had a monster bruise for about a week and 2 broken ribs that hurt every time I breathed.

How much spam do you guys get on your wordpress blogs in the comments? I am getting quite a bit of repeated comments. The good thing is they have to be moderated by me so they don't appear on the site until I authorise it.

Just had Pork Scratchings then Jamaica Cake and cream, healthy healthy!
