I'm at some minor reorganisation of my file server and tweaking backup scripts for my photos while listening to older podcasts on squeezethelime.com

+1

I use IIIs too, and buy them from Play or Amazon depending on who has the best price at the time! :D

I am giving HDR a go I ventured out and took a couple of multi-exposure shots and 1.5 stops apart yesterday

Good luck, I've done a few HDRs but the conversion back to LDR is where I always fall down. They always end up looking overdone, just can't make them look realistic.

I tried that yesterday by putting the AEB so there was a dot under each of -2 0 2. But the exposure for the 3 photos was exactly the same. I gave up.

I have always got more smaller ones. if you only have one card and it corrupts you have potentially lost all your images. At least if they are spread across more cards you have less chance of this happening.

+1 also, Ive had a 2GB CF card corrupt while out shooting, thankfully I only lost about 40 mediocre shots as I just changed cards so the other 1200 I'd taken during the day were safe. I don't have anything bigger than 4GB.

If you were in Manual it will use the same settings for all 3 exposures

i have always got my cards from either play.com or 7dayshop . just ordered the 4gb extreme III SD-HC for £18. I think if you put all your eggs in one basket (i.e 8gb, 16GB) you have more to lose if they go wrong

but thats just my opinion

Are you sure you saved the -2 0 +2 setting in the menu?

I think so.. I think I just pressed set after making sure there was a mark under each of -2 0 +2. Then i pressed the shutter 3 times but all of the pics come out exactly the same.
