LDR............low dynamic range?? Do you mean the tonemapping?

Yeah, when you convert the HDR back down to something you can properly view/print. Gone through loads of settings and different algorithms but can't get anything natural.

What software and technique do you use for your HDR's?

...

Wowser, you wouldn't want to be out there too long it looks freezing. Mind you putting down a towel and having someone sunbathe on it would make a good shot :)

3 shots AEB depending on how large I need it from checking exposures on the needle in camera. Sofware wise I use Qtpfsgui.

@ Anke, I don't know what Folkestone is like but Deal is nice and warm, I was out in my shorts and tshirt clearing the remaining ice from the drive. It's all melting down quite quickly now though.

Try Photomatix..........to merge them and then run the tonemapping

We've just had some rain here so all the snows gone now.

@ Victor, there's no Linux version of Photomatix.

SNow melting under the rain at the moment, it's all grey and slushy, not very picturesque.

My old school bus did that once, left us stranded in Farningham (bout 10 min drive from home and 15-20 mins from school)
