We've got friends completely stuck in the traffic and unable to get home. One of them can't get to the nursery to pick up her daughter!

I'm so glad that we don't have to go anywhere. Even if I was working I could easily not go into the office at all.

wow - must be the season of goodwill to all men and so forth...

it's an innovative approach though - fight for a seat on the transport home! I'll be looking out for that on Skys Spring TV schedule!

"Leaves on the line"

"Extreme weather in Northern France has caused water ingress into the electrics on the Eurostar...."

Yes, we have had many natural events that compromise the 1 in 100's actuarial calculations and way too little money spent over the past 50 years in maintaining & upgrading our infrastructure and you know what with the national debt we carry now it will be decades more before there is any improvement whatever 'colour' of party get in after the next election.

And just watch the local taxes go up next year to pay for all the extra gritting going on now et al

some people really shouldn't be allowed out - I've seen people sliding their 4x4s out of control and all sorts of random acts of stupidity... it really is a disgrace, can't drive in the snow/ice/slush then stay at home!

Totally agree. Im glad my dad is driving us to leeds 2moro as i have never driven in icy conditions - and tbh i dont want to. Some ppl shud just be banned from driving in these conditions until they know how to properly control their cars.
