Sorry, I just had to laugh at this quote from someone's website:

"I think I'm the only photo website left from the late 1990's that hasn't been bought out by large corporations, like photo.net (luminal path) and d-preview (amazon)."

I wonder why?

Just googled that sentence, found the website and thought for a moment I had travelled back in time to the 90ies. One guy and his Mac and no proofreader. :)

As a dyed in the wool cynic the VAT increase could be treated in one of two diametric opposite ways.

a) The shops do not implement the increase in the prices i.e. they squeeze their already tight margins to chase the turnover and please all upcoming potential buyers :)

b) They make the increase but (cynical mode on) the listed price inclusive of VAT goes up by 2.5% i.e. the VAT element has actually on paper gone up by more than 2.5% :( A hidden price increase, now where is my calculator ;)

Now putting my logical hat back on ~ I wish I could increase prices to my B2B customers as the pips have been squeeking for ages  Having said that everything my customers make ends up in the high street ~ did someone say I could not have my cake & eat it ??? ;) But with Canon items we are talking about "high ticket items" that are imported, which is different to my market sector.

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

Thanks. I really tried to do some more creative effects on them, instead of going for the normal colour :)

I wanna try a HDR as well

Nice ones Kay!

Really hard to choose a favourite. 1, 5 and 8 stand out. That being said, I like the other ones too. Looks like you made the most of the photowalk.

great shots K,

so... I'm off out to partake in some festivities loosely using New Year as a catalyst!

it's been a lot of fun and very entertaining meeting you good folk in 2009 - here's to 2010, more meet ups, more gossip and more outrageous purchases!

have a good one all - see you after the hangover! :D
