Thank you very much, I'm very impressed by the images in the comp though, Tough choices to pick a winner.

Happy New Year Everyone! My heads a little sore but not too bad!

I hope everyone had a good night and wish that 2010 turns out to be a cracker for everyone!

Now back to sorting out the flat! Looks like a bombsite as going through all the drawers and cupboards having a clear out. Selling all the wedding ribbons and stuff were didn't use last year. Got a day of photographing it for gumtree/ebay.

Few bits (external link) just incase anyones interested and books (external link)

Had a look through the 2009 Shot of the Year, cracking images in there as expected, looking forward to putting my favs together.

Also with all this talk of selling older bodies ~ what about a 350D? This would be with kit lens, a couple of batteries and most likely a CF Ultra II (2GB need to check the sizes) but I have no battery charger for it (unfortunately it went walkabout into the wastepaper basket a while back and got thrown with the trash ~ I have been using SWMBO S70 charger - same battery). So if you already have a Canon body using the same battery......? Any thoughts on price even with the absent charger?

TIA :)

Well if the battery is the same that the 500d uses, and ur selling it for £200 i might just wel have a buyer

I forgot to thank Chris for his work putting the comp together and the excellent compilation done for the voting thread. Great work sir! :)

Indeed!

Where was the camera?

About 150yds from me - on A227 Meopham. I know it's there and I always slow down below 30mph as I've seen it many times flash off on people who seem to be driving at less than 30 - it seems to be set on the sensitive side.

Afternoon all. A good inch of snow here today and I reckon there'll be more to come. Too tired to go out and take pics though so we're going to get comfy on the sofa and watch Wall-E in a bit. Bliss!

This digital frame http://www.jessops.com …_C2-_-productlink-_-76623 (external link) anyone got it as for the price and size looks quite appealing?

I have one. Recently changed under warranty as the first died.

The new models are good and the picture quality is nice.

Only gripe is there is no "random" option for the slide show

Only a slight dusting here, teensy bit settling here and there. So there goes everyone's driving style

Lovely day for photography out there but I'd stay in with Wall-E :)

Amazing - absolutely nowt here :( Are you working today?

I was, got as far as Calais when I got a call saying I'd best get back to the UK as the snow is coming down fast and laying.

Looks like a bag of crap. 50 quid for an LCD panel that is only 800x600 at 10"? For not much more you can get a 14" telly which would have better resolution.

I had to dig an inch and a half of snow off of the car to get out the car park. Got to Dover and the snow looked like it had just started coming down, through the other side of Dover and nothing. St Margarets to pick the mrs up and she didn't see why I was hurrying her until it hit there and came down fast.

Well the battery type is the NB-2LH but sadly as far as I can tell the 500D takes an LP-E5 so no go on that front ~ though even if 'right' I was hoping that it might be worth more than £200 ??? As I only ever buy Canon batteries :D

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p
