I've never found that tutorial particularly easy if your just starting out on HDR, always found Pete Carr's one much easier to follow http://www.vanilladays.com/hdr_tutorial/ (external link)

Thanks for the link. I've only ever done 1 HDR and the Stuck in Customs tutorial was useful for me to get a sense of what to do in Photomatix. But I'll have a read of your link before my next attempt.

I use the Sigma 10-20 (on the odd occasion) I find it gets used more on holidays for landscape stuff and panoramas...

QUOTED IMAGE

but you could also future "full frame" proof yourself and consider a SIGMA 12-24mm... it's a good lens, used one on the IR converetd 5D a couple of weeks ago...

QUOTED IMAGE

wow. great shots :) None of the hire places seem to have the 10-20 for hire though

Just thought I'd quote this ^^ in case anyone missed it.

good shout - RHS Wisley is worth a trip even without the Butterflies (of which there are many already in the extensive and varied gardens in warmer months)
I am definitely up for this if anyone else is going!

Thanks Chris for the bump :)

Not sure how many TP folk are going but 'they' are suggesting Sunday 31st January???

Yes, even in Winter the place has interest though obviously not as much "outside" as from Spring onwards.

It will have to be a weekend for me as days off are way too precious to be using them up so soon in the year :(
