X-Rite ColorMunki - new user???

Hello!

This is the first calibration device Ive ever purchased, altho I have a few question regarding it's use and results....I'll keep my first question simple since the other 'issues' can probably be resolved by reading up on the various color management threads.

Ive calibrated my monitor (HP LP2275w) and it has a much noticeable blue cast now....are my eyes so used to having an uncalibrated monitor that it looks too blue?

Am I doing something wrong here?

Thats a bit strange, but I don't know what color it had from the start.
Usually I find the monitors looking a bit more warm after calibration as they usually start out much colder. I use a ColorMunki too, and with it I have calibrated a Dell 2209WA, an non-name 17" TN based screen, a netbook and a 22" LG. All seem to gone warmer (towards yellow/red not blue).

Make sure you didn't have an incorrect profile loaded when you calibrated (like if you have previously calibrated with a different monitor connected). I heard it can affect calibration.

A lot of devices have trouble with wide gamut displays. That's why ColorEyes has been offering a Spyder3 bundle and NEC has a modified iOne puck for wide gamut.
