This WHITE-CHEEKED PINTAIL(male) is classified Code 4 by the ABA (American Birding Association) :

"Code-4: Casual.
Species not recorded annually in the ABA Checklist Area, but with six or more total records—including three or more in the past 30 years—reflecting some pattern of occurrence."....ABA

Yes, I always carry my lens when I golf. Resort golfing is quite different from N.American Golf...Most courses are quite empty, especially on a hot day !!!
