It was actually built in 1939 as a demonstrator by EMC for Union Pacific.

The caboose photo was taken with the Tamron 18-250 and a 20D.

I do stand corrected about the mfg. date on this great engine. Thanks for the link and thanks for sharing your pic. You did your homework. I just could not believe the technology was there in 1939.

That caboose was built in 1964 For the Union Pacific and retired in 1990. It was refurbished by the Southern Nevada Chapter of the National Railroad Historical Society. It looks nice on the inside as well.
