This year I signed up on Model Mayhem and have had alot of inquiries about shoots. I managed to shoot with one model this summer, 3 others we had planned on shooting but for various reasons cancelled (weather being one of them). Now that it's getting cold with winter coming, as well as limited light (dark by the evening) outdoors is not a very good solution. I'd love to shoot during a nice sunny+snowy day, but those aren't something you can count on.

Does anybody have suggestions where I can shoot? I live in an apartment and there is zero room to set anything up. I live in a small city and don't want to spend alot (if anything) to rent a real studio.

Please help, I just wannt shoot! :)

Ask around with friends and family see if anyone has a spare room or some empty property you could use.

You can always do winter pictures, people bundled up enjoying the snow is a popular picture especially if they are fashionably dressed. You don't even need real snow fall you can add it in photoshop if you need to .

ask around in the glamour/nude forum. I think several of those guys just get a hotel room for a day when they're doing shoots. I suppose it works very well for the mood/theme of a lot of their work; they can either bring backgrounds or work with the room itself.

if someone is serious about building their modeling portfolio, they'd probably be willing to split the costs with you. all you'd have to add to the equation is your own lighting.

Check into studios for rent. They are all over the place. If you don't see any advertised, call up a local photog and ask him if you can rent his studio. In these times he won't turn you down.

Well renting a studio or getting a motel are great ideas, I'm still wondering if there are any FREE alternatives? Hmm, maybe I could see if a motel would give a discounted rate if you are just using if for a couple hours (and hope they don't think you are using it for sex or shooting porn or something.. :-P lol)

Check around at local parks that may have indoor areas or party houses that you can utilize at no charge for a short period of time.
