I'm shooting 2 children for a friend today outside. Is it possible to get these great shots with bokeh with 2 people and not throw one out of focus. I've had good luck with low fstops with only one, but haven't shot multiple people outside before with low f stops. Just wondering if I should stick with around f8 to be sure of both being in focus and not worry too much about the bokeh. Any advice would be helpful. Still trying to learn.

First thing's first: shoot multiple apertures to make sure you're covered - you won't be able to tell on the camera's LCD.

If the people are right next to eachother, you'll be fine using the same techniques you know. If you position one behind another, you'll need to stop down the aperture a bit. To keep a good amount of blur to the background, try positioning your subjects in a way to keep the background elements farther away.

The distance (from the camera) between the two subjects will determine the amount of Depth of Field required for both to stay in focus. That then implies the need for a certain f/stop to be used. The amount of DOF is dependent not only upon lens aperture but also depends upon the distance from the camera to the subject. For example, 50mm lens at f/8 provides 7' zone of DOF if the focus distance is 15', but the same aperture provides only 0.7' of DOF when the subject is 5' away. So two kids 3' apart would remain both in focus if 15' away, but only one would be in focus at 5' away even though the two are separated by 3' in both cases.

BTW, your use of 'bokeh' is not correct...'bokeh' is the quality of the out-of-focus areas, not the out-of-focus itself. You can have 'good bokeh' or 'bad bokeh' solely determined by the lens selection.
