alternative (or extension) to this: shoot with 2 or 3 camera bodies at a time. :p

Don't forget the vest and the floppy hat!

Well I did give someone some advice yesterday as a matter of fact. At a small zoo nearby they have begun to teach the Tigers some tricks, this involves the keeper entering the cage with four not yet so well trained Siberian tigers (the really big ones). He specifically mention taking photos is OK but please no flash it upsets the tigers.

This **** flashes the tigers the guy is not having an easy time and has not got the time to tell her.

Later on in the zoo she is wandering around sticking her flash in the eyes of every animal she can find just from a few inches away. The sort of thing that gets those no taking photos sign hung up.

OK I told her loud enough that other people can year about the uselessness of flash photography through a pane of glass, even with a DSLR. It wouldn't be worth entering a moral discussion with such a foolMaybe a bit of embarrassment will help...

You always get overzealous types itching to tell you right from wrong.
Best to ignore them. Just be nice, nod as if you agree with them, and they will go away.

I think a lot of whether you get advice or get asked for advice is age. I don't offer advice unless someone asks, then I try to keep to just what they asked about.
Sometimes those offering unsolicited advice have some that is good, don't just blow everyone off, after all they did take the time to come over and say something.
If they're talking about things that you already know, or just giving bad advice, you can always just yes them to death, or if you have time, correct them and explain why they are wrong. Alternatively you can just give 'em yeah or two and then go into something that you know is way over their head. LOL

You will find no more zen at the top of a mountain, than the zen that you bring there with you.

Definitely, I'm sure 24 is relatively young to be a decent photog. Just really bugged me, but I will def shrug the next ones off.
