flashed #1. Canon 50D; 1/250; f/2.8; 300 mm; ISO 640 Exposure Bias: 0 EV Flash: On, Fired

I will nail this shot by the end of the season ... which now is playoff time ...

The idea is get player #1 in pure focus while the others fade away in line site.

Sorry to add photos #9 and #10; I did not want to start a new thread for the above foto and #10 is an altered crop to High ISO #5. I like the crop, adds to play, but I am now in too tight to see faces.

I like the high ISO shots-how is the noise with the 7D? Do you see a difference vs the 50D?

Thanks Tim. In all honesty, I cannot give you a true answer. I used the 50D in 3 night games and the 7D in two. Most of the time with flash, but I saw a few prints (printed at MPIX) that were not noise-ninja'd, mostly "as is" with the levels and colors adjusted. They looked much better than my best shots with a 40D and 2.8.

I am/was happy.

Great Shots I shoot Football all the time... around 700 shots per game. I do not use the flash. I use (because I can not afford anything else yet) a 85MM Fast Focus Prime on my Canon Rebel.... I get great shots as long as I keep the speed up. Good Luck
