I started out with 35mm, learned the basics of photography then went out and digitalized my collection. I have a Canon D-60 with numerous lenses and everything else I need. I have started up a wildlife and nature photo business on the side and have never been happy with the digital effect of those pictures. I have shot RAW and done most everything else I could to manipulate the images. I am keeping my D-60, but would like to purchase a Canon EOS 1V-HS and concentrate on using 35mm slide film for my wildlife and landscape. There is something about film that I feel can't be replaced.
I am looking for someone who still uses 35mm and hopefully slide film. I wanted to know how big I can enlarge without lossing quality, where to have it done, whether or not one of the new film scanners would be in my best interest and what sort of film along with many other questions.
I have not given up on my D-60 but in order to sell the best I have I have to be able to produce the image possible. I still use my D-60 everyday for work (sports editor for a paper) and will continue to do so, but I wnat the best of both world.
Please help with advise, JR92.
