Haven't shot much at all in the past few months, sadly. Here's a picture of my Boxer/Border Collie mix, Roxie posing in the leaves :) Any critique is welcome!

Love that you can see the texture in Roxie's fur and that there is tons of light (=life!) in the eyes. Ears are up, dog looks full of spunk! The background is a big incongruous with the forground though. Spring/summer flowers and crisp fall leaves. It doesn't compute in my mind. That's the only thing that I don't like though. Really great photo.

Beautiful pet portrait. My only suggestion would be to frame the shot so she's not right in the middle. For suecassidy, we've still got flowers here (about 180 miles south of Philadelphia, where the OP is) even as the leaves fall - it does look kind of incongruous.

Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.

It's nice, and the framing does work for me. Good use of dof, just enough for it to flow well in the scene

Thank you, as for the framing.. here is another one that I liked. I kind of liked the flowers in the background, as, in my head it showed a transition from spring/summer, with the remnants of spring/summer in the background to fall leaves in the foreground

QUOTED IMAGE

I really like this one. The first one was nice, but I think this one is outstanding. Nice light in her eyes, sharp details, and the composition highlights her perfectly.

Very nice shots. I love the leaves, not so much the flowers. Beautiful dog by the way...
