For small (under 800x600) viewing, the low light mode up to and including 6400 on the G11 is surprisingly decent lol. You can also make a perfectly fine 4x6 from it (I tried). Iso 12800 is *HORRIBLE* though-can't make an acceptable 4x6 from it period, and it looks bad even at web viewing sizes. The g11 seems to have a noisey blue channel and blotches start appearing everywhere at 12800. This picture is from my kitchen, blinds pulled, overcast outside, all lights off...it's very dark in here. I wasn't expecting it to be this good honestly. The horrible thing is though--you can't set the white balance.
