Here are a couple of shots I've been working with. I'm working on my post processing in PS. All comments are welcome as I'm still learning and appreciate your time to review...

Shot 1:

Rebel XT Canon 50mm 1/60 F2.2

Shot 2:

Rebel XT Tamron 28-75 1/125 F4.5 Focal Length 48mm

I like them both in a way. The first she looks a little ticked off at you  Looks good in black and white. Very good looking Girl in the second, I would get rid of the hi-lites on her forehead though. :D

Nature and photography. Moments frozen a fraction of a second at a time.
Canon 1Ds MkIII and lots of other stuff.

first one I think overexposed on right side, and depends how you want to compose either with side light(less exposure) or even light(flash fill needed) over the faces
but in second one I would use flash fill for sure
also in first picture her right eye is out of focus
(this is my personal opinion)

Thanks. The over exposure on the first image was done in PS. I did need a fill flash on the second shot, but I only had a second to get the picture and that didn't include mounting my fill on the camera.

Thanks...

What AJP said.

Could you post the original version of the first one?

I find the second one nice, but the sunny spot is a bit distracting.

The built-in flash should work nicely as fill flash on sunny days.

Best regards,
Andy

some cameras, some lenses,
and still a lot of things to learn...
(so post processing examples on my images are welcome :D)
