I'll be shooting the Rutgers-Syracuse game on Nov. 21 with a 50D and a 300 2.8L & 70-200 2.8L. I assume it's going to be a very challenging lighting environment. Can anyone who has shot a game there provide any insight, tips, examples etc.?

Thanks.

I've never had the chance to shoot from the sidelines but I've shot from the stands before and got some great shots. Is the game at night or a day game? Normally day games you get quite a bit of light in there, they already have the lights on but the added sun coming through the dome roof can really brighten the place up. With you having 2.8 lenses you shouldnt have to bump your iso up too much to get great shots.

It's a 3:30 kickoff...never thought about the possibility of sunlight affecting the interior. Thanks.

Hopefully one of out Sports Shooter members will chime in. I'm guessing that the Carrier Dome would be in the SS database.

The only info is from 2004 - says that they would get 1/800 - 1/1000 at ISO 800 and f/2.8 at a noon start with the roof being transparent but the middle of the field is brighter than the corners. Nowadays with better ISO you can take a guess from there. I'll be shooting there in a few weeks for the state finals to get first hand experience.
