Congrats! Any thoughts on what you might be getting other than the craptastic 50? OOOohhhhh, tell her to get you the 85L, or the 24mkII, or.........good luck man. I would be like a kid in a candy store.

I feel bad when people buy me expensive stuff, so I am thinking possible the 28-75 or the 100 macro non L, but I will look at everything, I do not discriminate to any lens...unless it is a crappy one...I dont like those :D

It's sad when Milwaukee is your go-to town for stuff...

Besides NYC, are there really ANY good places with great camera stores? I live in Phoenix, 3.5 million people and 2 good camera stores.

I don't think so...But NYC makes up for the lack of camera stores across the country!
I went to B&H over the summer and it is amazing!
They have the vacuum tubes to send stuff throughout the store, like at banks. It is SO cool! :D

The people at Mike Crivellos may be nice, but they are not very knowledgeable in terms of lenses. I went in there asking the main differences between the 17-40L and the 16-35L and they told me the focal length. Hmm, kinda obvious. Plus their prices are ridiculous on most of their lenses. Gasrocks, you are right there is not much for camera stores in Milwaukee.
