Nov 09, 2009 16:12 | #1 I need some help with my 70-200 2.8. The lens is not showing a connection with the camera body. I've tried it on both my 40D and 1Ds II and I'm showing an error message on both bodies. I've tried cleaning the connection points with the eraser head but no luck. It is a UW lens if that makes any difference. Is there anything else that I should try before sending it off to Canon?

If you've cleaned the contacts on the lens and it doesn't work on either body, while the rest of your lenses are fine, then I'm afraid that a trip to Canon is in the cards.
