After seeing some great shots with new 'perches' I decided to make one too. Spent this morning waiting for the visitors to come to it. "If you build it, they will come" seems to apply. Thanks for looking!

Very nice perch and some pretty birds, well done! Now get yourself a chair and some camo cloth and wait close by for more birds! I sit about 20-25 feet from my perch, about right for the 300mm.

wait 'til word gets out. You can charge a 'sitting fee' on the perch!

Nice shots, BTW.

Thankyou to everyone who commented! Took me a half hour to get the picture, and forever to figure out how the heck to resize for 'posting' in Photo shop. Duh, still did'nt get it right. If anyone needs a backyard 'perch', I have lots on my property, free of charge, just have to find your way to 'Merrickville'...
By the way Steve, I shot these guys from my living room. Had my husband remove the outside screen, now I just crack the window, sip on coffee & wait for the birds to come to me.
