An odd decision to make so I'm asking for help haha.

So I was thinking of getting a 135L for my wedding gear because my 85L isn't quite long enough. My brother shoots with a 70-200 f/2.8 IS so he's got that covered however I'd like a long range as well.

My backup camera is currently a T1i.

I'm thinking it would make more sense for me to invest in a 7D and stick my 85L II on that effectively giving me 136mm on that end, rather than sticking a 135L on my 5dmkII.

I don't know how much I'm liking the T1i as a back up and not sure if I'm comfortable sticking the 85L on it.

Decisions, decisions.

Anyone shooting with a 7D and 85L?

So in the end, I'm basically thinking 7d with 85L and 5dmkII with 24-70 beats T1i with 85L and 5dmkII with 24-70... or even T1i with 24-70L and 5dmkII with 135L

So confusing. I apologize!!! Forum therapy...

Main advantage of 85L on crop sensor vs. 135L on full frame is you still keep your f/1.2 light gathering ability, plus it helps somewhat with tighter effective subject framing. The disadvantage is that you also keep your comparatively slow focusing. I have not used the 135L in a very long time - since I got my 85L in fact.

I will not buy another crop sensor camera for weddings unless there is a very good reason. Currently I find full frame better for most purposes.
