I have some camo wellies that i got for glasto 2 years ago. Hopefully they are still ok!

For ponchos, head to a decent camping store such as Blacks and they usally have a few - ranging from £1.50 disposable ones (which i have) to proper hard wearing style ones.

I got my wellies a couple years back for when I went on an adders day and they served me well but learned then to get some decent boot socks ~ brand wise I think they are Dunlop??? Socks wise I have some fleece type Hunter brand ones but intend to get some "fishermans" socks as well!

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

I know this is not going to make you happy L, but i got the Coal gloves today - they are absolutely perfect. You will be chuffed with them Adrian.

Not too thick, nice and warm, should be relatively water resistant.

Rob
Thanks I glad I told you to go ahead and order them. Just ordered a poncho as I do have a Blacks near me, fingers crossed it will arrive in time as there were no delivery options. Apart from getting a 7D I don't think there is anything I could possibly buy. They have been going down in price and my local Jessops has one in stock.......the wife would kill me........

lets just hope that they fit you!

Im just going to hope that 100-400 + 5DII will be good enough to cope. It would seem that the seals are goijng to be fairly stationary so should be ok.

I will prob get a 7D at some point next year, but will wait for price to drop. 5% increase in VAT will be a **** tho :(

Yah boo sucks, gloves :( no problem ;)

I must crack on and get the last of my bits this weekend or it will be too late???

As for a 7D ~ well I will just have to whistle for now! I really must look into extractum digitum and have a go at getting onto Alamy...........? As, like Adrian I have spent lots with nothing other than the pleasure of the images to show for it

I will admit that i am an adict when it comes to collecting photog gear and i have only really earned a very modest sum this year from my reenactment shots. Hopefully next year i will get more from those events since i have been hired by them.

Cant wait for the seals though - i dont care if i never earn a penny from the shots taken next week, its going to be a great experience!

Right time to check the 10 forecast here http://uk.weather.com …er/10day-Mablethorpe-LN12 (external link)

As at 13:16 today Sat 14th Nov ~ next Saturday will be showery with 40% chance of precipitation and Sunday & Monday === Mostly Sunny/Partially Cloudy with 20%/10% rain respectively.

Just have to see how the forecats "tightens up" nearer the time???

Edit - this site suggests we will get a 'drowning' after midday on the Saturday http://www.netweather.tv …on=uk714day2;page=1;sess= (external link)

Though if I am reading the wind direction AOK it will be mainly offshore which I surmise will always be the best direction for us i.e. less chance of rain/sea spray/sand in the face & lenses! But they could be up to 20mph winds so tie the hats down
