I'm still pondering gloves, and these keep tempting me (and the brand name fits the job!):

Sealskinz Ultra Grip Waterproof Gloves

IMAGE: http://www.tredz.co.uk/prodimg/22999_1_Large.jpg
SealSkinz most popular glove. It uses SealSkinz patented technology, Merino wool and has grip dots on the palm and fingers. It is close fitting, dexterous, windproof, breathable and 100% waterproof.
The Features of the SealSkinz Ultra Grip - long fingered cycling gloves are:
Inner : Merino Wool
Membrane : Porelle P540 Black
Outer : Acrylic / Elastane

Best Price I have found £21.89
from here;
http://www.tredz.co.uk …terproof-Gloves_22999.htm (external link)

I am also tempted by the Youngstown gloves as well.

Either way I have to decide soon!

Wind is one thing, so hope it will be offshore ~ will not be very comfortable for us or the gear if onshore! But put rain into the mix and aghhh! Will we actually go out onto the sandbank if it is tipping down or due to do so???

Yes, the forecast gets more accurate the closer we get so by Thursday evening/Friday morning I think we will get "what it says" :D :( (take your pick of smiley ;) )

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

re Weather

21st here http://www.netweather.tv …nna%20Nook;sess=#forecast (external link) 100% cloud cover with very light to light rain 0600 to 1500 with very high winds up to 35mph from the S to SE direction

22nd here http://www.netweather.tv …nna%20Nook;sess=#forecast (external link) cloud cover varying from 14% to 100% with some light rain but going to heavy at 1500 hours with similar strength winds but from the W/SW.

Looks interesting for sure ~ how many pictures of quality will be the question???

Now there was me with the impression as a biker you were into leather not rubber

I am just hoping my Regatta gear will be up to the job ~ windblown rain will find any weak point and there was no way I was going to buy the top of the range coat!
