Im shooting my own band this Sunday. These are the props. A bentley, Hull old town and riverside, The Humber bridge. We need poster shots, Website material, publicity photos. We are a 5 piece (4M 1F) pop and rock covers band. Ill be shooting group shots by remote as I will be in them myself. Also want individuals and portraits. I need to shoot lots in a short time and keep everyone interested.

Gear line up below.

What kind of music? Pop and rock is a little vague.

Can you get that speedlight set up off camera?

Cant use thw speedlight off cam

We are probably best described as a commercial pop cover band doing charts covers, Duffy, Lily Allen, Kelly Clarkson, Pixie Lott plus a load of "everybody likes" stuff from earlier years. This mix puts us in the Pub, Club, Corporate and function catch area to try and keep us busy. I wouldn't book us for a biker fest!

Hey, you probably make pretty decent money that way. Personally, for that type of music, I would just stick to the "cliche" shots. The "huddled up and goofy close wide angle shot", etc. For some reason, the band Real Big Fish immediately comes to mind...they were a 6 piece and have lots of simple/goofy type band shots. I don't know...the last photoshoot I did was a guy in a miniskirt, so maybe I'm not the one to make suggestions...

Do you have any pictures from the shoot to show? What did you end up doing?
